This picture was a candid moment, but I don't think it was at the peak of his emotion. It looks more like he was listening to someone saying something to him. And the frame was not filled. My attention immediatly is drawn towards the ceiling instead of the subject. There is etirely too much space at the top.
This picture is ok. It is definatley a candid shot, and the girl is captured in the peak of the emotion, but her hand is cut off as to where there is a little extra space near the top of the picture. If the photographer hadn't gotten so close, and got both of her hands in the picture and her head more close to the top, then it would have been nearly perfect.
